[Group] Level 1 - Thursdays (6/4 - 7/16) @ 6:30-7:30pm PT

This course is designed for people who have little to no prior experience with the Vietnamese language.

Date/Time: Thursdays (6/4 - 7/16) @ 6:30-7:30pm PT (California time)

Requirement:

• Must be 18 and older to enroll
  
• Must be able to meet for 7 consecutive weeks

Structure:

• Teacher: Read Our Teachers' Bio (One of our teachers will teach this class)
• Class is conducted online in real time
• Max number of students per class is 6.
• Lessons are hosted and recorded via Zoom.
• Materials are shared via Google Classroom & Quizlet.

Topics:

1. Vietnamese Tones & Alphabet- Be able to distinguish a-ă-â, e-ê,... & differentiate tones: dấu ngang, dấu sắc,...
2. Nationality: Be able to say your own nationality
3. Numbers: Be able to say someone's age, read numbers & calculate money,...
4. Family: Be able to understand family tree and identify kinship terms
5. Ordering Food: Be able to order basic food items on the menu

Policy:

• Attendance plays a critical role in students' success, therefore, all students are expected to attend all classes and arrive on time.
• If you're absent due to sickness or emergency situations, please notify us in advance! You're welcome to join other group classes offered in the same week to make up for your missed class (ONLY once per program).

• 1 hour of in-class time requires approximately 2-3 hours of outside-of-class time to study, review in-class materials, watch class recordings, memorize vocabs, complete homework,... so please plan accordingly!
